add listener avatars.
It makes us all more identifiable, and gives us a sense of the users who are using CherryPeel with us.

provide last.fm integration for played tracks.
last.fm can be very useful for keeping an overall picture of the music that you play from both your personal music collection and through online sources like cherrypeel.

improve the search algorithm
We should be able to search for other users, artists, published playlists, and so forth--not just songs. I

Create an iPhone app
Last.fm is great on the iPhone, and so is iReddit. The logical middleground is a cherrypeel app. A "just listen" option in the app would be pretty awesome, too.

implement a pop-out music player
i'd like to see a small pop-out player, maybe with an option like "always on top", so i can easily see what's playing and to skip tracks, etc instead of constantly changing windows/tabs in my browser.

Have playlist autofill with songs for constant music
Once you reach the end of the final song on your playlist, Cherrypeel will select the next song based on what page you are on.

Create a Mini-Feed to stay up to date on friends and artists
What do you want to see in a Mini-Feed?

implement a "recommended" feature based on friends tastes
I think this could work so well. Have a new option at the top maybe next to 'Top' called 'Recommended' based on what songs your friends are voting for.

Use something other than Flash
Surely it wouldn't be impossible to create something with Cappuccino or SproutCore instead of using Flash? It would let people listen to awesome music without ever having to load a slow, cumbersome plugin. Flash should be a last resort, not a first try.

User interface redesign
We want to simplify how things are done, suggestions?
For sure we will be adding more pictures for both artists and listeners, we'll show you who else liked each song and.... you tell us.

Turn autoplay off when entering the site
Is auto play a good feature or something that makes you jump as it blares through your speakers?

Add "Rising Stars" to Popular, New, Top.
Create a new page that ranks tracks but most upvotes in the past {time-period}. You can make the time period variable via a pull down but I would suggest 3 days to start with. This will help songs that are getting traction get more traction and give them a better chance of rising to the top. This could also solve the need for having a faster front page.

This is in addition to currently available Facebook app that can be sent to friends.

Speed up the vote algorithm so more songs hit the front page
Are songs on the front page too long? too short? or just right?

change the vote tracking and ranking system
Right now, a track only gets voted if it's "published", which is a way of attempting to keep the flow of new submissions at a reasonable pace per artist. However, the age of songs pulls them off the popular list faster, no matter how popular they are. This makes people "unpublish" and then republish their tracks, to try to get back into the top list. This resets the lifetime vote count. It also means that as more artists use CP, the influx of new music will be drowned out by the republishing habits of the existing community,
My recommendation is… more

Right-side page should conditionally follow the playlist
The "info" button on the playlist is small and out of the way. If I'm not actively commenting or taking an action on the right hand side, and if the right hand side is a song's page, then when a song ends and a new one begins, the info page for the new song should be loaded. Perhaps a very quick, centrally located, but small timeout box. "Page changing. Click in 3 seconds to stay where you are." It would really make the site more convenient.
